She has spearheaded initiatives to promote equity within the senior living industry, from crafting inclusive policies to leading support groups and mentorship programs. Beyond her professional sphere, she is deeply engaged in philanthropy, championing causes such as Alzheimer's research and advocating for marginalized communities.
Melissa proudly identifies as a bisexual woman, happily married to a supportive husband, and raising three wonderful children in their blended family together. These personal experiences have only reinforced her commitment to fostering inclusive environments where every individual feels valued and respected. Armed with a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, with a focus on communications and sociology, she is eager to continue her journey of impact and growth. She looks forward to exploring new avenues to drive positive change, all while upholding her core values of compassion, equity, and inclusion.
